"Skeletons" by DAWN OF SOLACE on CD.
Dawn of Solace was founded in 2005 as a melancholic death/doom metal solo project by Tuomas Saukkonen (Wolfheart, Before The Dawn). Shortly after the release of the debut album "The Darkness" in 2006, the project was put on hold due to legal and contractual issues. As time healed the wounds and the contractual obstacles were finally removed, it was time to bring the project back to life in 2019 after 15 years of slumber.
The comeback was enthusiastically received by both fans and the media. Once Dawn of Solace had been brought back to life, there was no stopping the band. The upcoming album "Skeletons" marks the band's fifth studio album and the fourth since their comeback, following "Waves" (2020), "Flames of Perdition" (2022), and "Affliction Vortex" (2025).
"Skeletons" is the band's darkest release to date, featuring an even more intense blend of harsh growls and the melancholic, majestic clean vocals of singer Mikko Heikkilä. Tuomas Saukkonen's music embraces all the defining elements of doom metal while venturing deep into the realms of death and gothic metal.
"Skeletons" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Saku Moilanen (Wolfheart, Bloodred Hourglass) at DeepNoise Studios.
